Welcome to Cliff-Bell
My name is Antonio Wilson, a native Houstonian, Rice University graduate, Air-Force veteran, and minority business owner. I am the principal member of CB Inspects LLC dba Cliff-Bell Building Inspections & Mold Testing. I have been a Texas Licensed Professional Building Inspector since 2006 and a Texas Licensed Mold Assessment Consultant since 2019.
I began my career as a REAC inspector (HUD’s Real Estate Assessment Center), traveling the country, checking to make sure property managers and landlords were following HUD’s inspection standards. I would inspect Multi-Family Buildings to find issues that the property needed to fix at once to meet HUD’s standards and ensure that the property was decent, safe, and sanitary. However, the travel became too much so I came home and started Cliff-Bell Building Inspections & Mold Assessments; named after my fallen older brother.
Career Highlights
As a licensed TREC inspector, I have inspected over 3,000 Residential Buildings (single-family homes, condominiums, apartments, townhomes, and mobile homes) in my 18-year career.
• As a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant, I have performed over 500 mold inspections and tested several hundred more properties for the presence of mold.
• As a HUD 203k Consultant (rehab/remodel loans), I inspect the property then prepare a feasibility study, architectural exhibits, a work write-up, a cost estimate, draw requests, and change orders. I ensure all work is performed by the borrower and the general contractor is in compliance with FHA requirements.
• I have also performed hundreds of ancillary inspections (wood destroying insects, pool systems and equipment, sprinkler systems, zip-level foundation measurements, and thermal imaging infrared scans) over the years. I bring all these experiences with me to an inspection. When I am not operating a business, I spend my time in the gym, watching sports, reading, praying, meditating, listening to soft music, or spending time with family. I love my family. I love my city. I love my work.
